Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 May 2026

Beatscout is a free timeline of London electronic music events. We built it to be privacy-respecting by default: we use no cookies and set no advertising trackers. This page explains the limited data we do handle and why.

Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how the site is used (for example, which filters people use and how often events are opened). It is served first-party from this domain.

Saved lists and polls

If you save events, your shortlist is kept locally in your browser. If you choose to share a shortlist or create a poll, the relevant details are stored on our backend so the link works for the people you share it with:

This data is created only when you actively share or create a poll. It is not linked to any analytics profile.

Feedback

If you use the in-app feedback form, we store the message you send and any optional contact detail you choose to include, so we can read it and reply. Providing contact info is entirely optional.

Data stored in your browser

To make the app work, we keep a small amount of functional data in your browser's local storage — your saved shortlist, share/edit codes, your last poll, and the voter name you entered. This never leaves your device except when you choose to share. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.
